- Learn and apply basic design principles using industry standard, computer-based design software and Web 2.0 apps.
- Cultivate an appreciation for a variety of visual communication and design and critically analyze communication design completed by peers and industry professionals.
- Explore how to implement participatory, agile, human-centered, user experience (UX) design for web and mobile usability, prototyping and testing cross-platform, responsive design prototypes.
- Deconstruct the concept of design thinking and how it can be applied to interdisciplinary problem solving and leadership.
- Practice creative thinking with regular workouts.
- Learn to design prototype/wireframes for web and mobile.
- Introduce students to the latest Web 2.0 applications and concepts including cloud computing, the mobile web, HTML5 and CSS3 and explore how they’ll radically change the future of design.
